The Lobby
The spectacular 5th-floor Lobby features 20-ft floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking North Michigan Avenue. The Lobby offers breakfast, lunch, the legendary Peninsula Afternoon Tea, and dinner to the soothing melodies of the pianist and cellist, who perform daily. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a contemporary jazz trio and singer also perform for your dancing pleasure in The Lobby for Jazz at The Pen. Also on Friday and Saturday evenings, enjoy Chocolate at The Pen, featuring our decadent chocolate buffet.

Afternoon Tea is served in grand style in The Lobby, a legacy that began many years ago at The Peninsula Hong Kong. Delight in extraordinary and rare teas from around the world, some created only for The Peninsula. Exquisite savory and sweet accompaniments are included with your tea service.
Fashion at The Pen
The Lobby is pleased to present its continued series of Friday Fashion Teas. During Afternoon Tea on selected Fridays, a variety of luxury boutiques and retailers present an informal fashion show during Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula Chicago. Retailers include: Bloomingdale's, Escada, Oilily, Pratesi, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vitton, Luca Luca.
Peninsula Royal-tea
Experience a majestic afternoon with the new Peninsula Royal-tea. During Afternoon Tea on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, guests can indulge in a selection of teas, a glass of champagne and a decadent selection of sweet treats including Cherry Scones, Lavender Marshmallow Pillows, Trio of Crème Brulee and Chocolate Covered Strawberries dipped in Gold Leaf, as well savory selections including Chive Blinis with Crème Fraiche and Caviar, Smoked Salmon Terrine, Truffled Scrambled Eggs and Warm Baby Artichokes, Camembert and Roasted Peppers. A menu truly fit for royalty!
Afternoon Tea is $36 per person or $45 per person with 1 glass of champagne, and is served in The Lobby. Peninsula Royal-tea is $95 per person and is served Friday through Sunday during Afternoon Tea hours.
